Bin von der Geschwindigkeit ziemlich enttäuscht.
Alle Positiven Reviews sind ja relativ alt. Vermutlich hat sich da die Qualität mächtig verschlechtert
Habe das Premium-Paket und US-Videostreaming (z.B. DailyShow) bricht selbst auf der geringsten Bandbreite immer wieder ein. Ebenso Mediathek, wenn US-Server verwendet werden. Netflix und Co. braucht man gar nicht erst versuchen. Wenn jemand Tipps für einen SCHNELLEN VPN hat, bitte melden.

March 2014–Boxpn is the first VPN I tried and I am thoroughly disappointed in them. Their random disconnects left me vulnerable on more than one occasion. My ISP actually sent me four emails about some of my download activity. When I contacted Boxpn regarding that, they stopped answering my emails. I do not recommend them.

As an expat I use ClearVPN everyday. Great reliability, speed and personal customer service. They always are making improvements and upgrades. A priced a little more than the big guys but I prefer the personal service I receive.

To add to the discussion on logs and privacy – this is a quote from one of their support representatives named “Torado” “We know everything sir.” as he was proceeding to terminate service. Pretty fierce and got all Orwellian. Do not trust Astrill.

I was a paid customer. Astrill ran a 50% Black Friday discount – so I purchased TWO (2) years of service and one year of At Home plan.

Long story short, a year later they terminate my service telling me the account expired, and furnishing a bogus invoice that has no mention of the At Home Plan (which was paid for an received) nor the second year.

Tried for 2 MONTHs to plead the case only getting stonewalled and ignored. Documentation proving payment, documentation proving the services that were purchased differed from the bogus invoice furnished….

One support rep (who terminated the account) throwing insults throughout the process and enjoying the termination process. Bad scene. DO NOT BUY.

Joined HMA at the recommendation of a friend. Its easy to use and has an excellent number of servers available that you can change at the press of a button. Can be a bit slow at times but I am not sure that is HMA’s fault – its more to do with the number of people using the service and how loaded the servers are. HMA always makes recommendations to work around speed problems such as suggesting alternative servers to the one I might have selected. I think I get good value for money and so far have had absolutely no problems with HMA.

I’ve used HMA for a year now, and I’ve really enjoyed the ease of use. If a connection didn’t work for me, it was but the flip of a switch to change to a better server. I was able to stream live broadcasts many times, which was extremely helpful. My only complaint was that I wish there were servers for Japan, but other than that, I’m extremely satisfied.

I’ve been using HMA for about 2 years and have had no issues whatsoever. I like the anonymity it provides, and I know it works, because one time I was logging into my gmail account and received a message from gmail, warning me that someone from Japan was trying to access my account. Of course it was me, but going through HMA, I was using an IP address from Japan. I have selected to have an automatic renewal of my HMA account every year, so I’ll never miss a payment and be without this wonderful product.

I have been using the VPN for the past month and the results are uneven. To start with, the speeds can sometimes be really slow. In addition to this, I constantly have to uninstall and reinstall the software because I keep getting the “VPN Secureme network adapter is missing”, or some such error. I don’t get this with the other VPN software I use. The moral of the story is, there are better VPN providers out there that cost less, are faster and don’t give you such a headache with their software. Use them.

Easy software to use,but sometimes i think there is a lot off customers logged on to the servers and the slow down very much and sometimes even disconnects.

I totally agree with previous comments that this service is serious bullcrap!!!
I tried communicating with them about their INCREDIBLY UNRELIABLE SERVICE —
They offer crappy LP2P connection ( as if it wasn’t already bad! ) and their only IPSec server is somewhere on the westcoast of US… You can bet your life on the privacy of your surfing there heh?! —

Some monosyllabic person took 1/4 of a nanosecond to respond to my very detailed troubleshooting description ( I’m a professional IT tech ) to send me a link back to their website config page —

Tried the « political » approach and wrote back to explain about my disappointing experience with the questionable reliability issues…

To no avail.

I believe this is a two-bit operation which is basically scamming people into believing their crappy – falsy offer…

They got me.
Only once though.

Don’t let them get you.

4OD in the UK doesn’t play videos. Just get the message “An error has occurred trying to play the chosen item”. Any ideas how to fix. Channel 4 uses this format

I was very pleased with the service that HMA offered. They have easy to use software and if there is ever any issues with the service or sspeedwhen using a proxy it could always be resolved by simply reconnecting to a different server.

I can recommend this service to anyone looking for a reliable and easy to use VPN.

I agree this seems to be a great service. I have used it for 1 month. I have experienced about 1-2 disconnects per day. You can have it auto reconnect but if it could fix the random disconnects this service would be absolutely perfect. Great price as well.

Excellent product and outstanding technical support . . in particular Nauman! Thanks a lot! But please, please add a better quality Brazilian/Costa Rica server or a new one in Mexico? Why? Because Netflix in those countries provide Spanish/Portuguese subtitles and alternative audio on all movies!

Ive used Lamnia VPN for many years with reasonable success. The passwords are constantly changed without notification, but this ongoing nuisance is nothing compared to the misleading rolling contract that I unwittingly signed up for the last time I renewed my yearly subscription.

Lamnia insist that their process of signing up indefinately is clear, but it cetainly is not the case in my situation. They hold onto the fact that I accpeted thier T&C’s making it clear that Lamnia will continue to debit the PayPal account indefinitely, year on year until you cancel. I disagree with this assertion, its highly misleading.

They also admitted that ‘3 or 4′ customers have had similar issue and then tried to retract this comment (made in writing).

Lamnia initially agreed to refund the outstanding balance of the yearly subscription, over a week ago, and since then have ignored all my emails, with no refund forthcoming. Based on some of the comments here, I suppose that I should be grateful that they ever responded at all!

I have contacted the OFT and Trading Standards to investigate the process of selling and the wording and structure therefof. Ill feed back on this, I suspect that based on OFT guidance OFT 311 on unfair contracts, that Lamnia have a case to answer.

Overall OK service, but highly suspect selling practices, be careful what you are agreeing to.

I ordered a one-year subscription (almost a year ago) and overall am very satisfied with VPNinja! At first, I had technical issues setting it up, but VPNinja customer service was very prompt in helping me out. Sometimes, I have issues connecting to the VPN, but this is rare and most likely because I live in China. I can access the VPN on my Mac computer and mobile devices, which is very convenient.

Even though VPNinja may not be as well-known as other service providers, their quirky, “business casual” attitude, and joke-filled emails have kept me hooked. I like how the customer relationship is not taken very seriously, and because of this, I feel comfortable contacting them for help. VPNinja is worth trying out, especially for those living in China. When the Chinese government cranks up internet security, you can trust VPNinja will immediately react to make sure their users have access to all of the web!

I am from Germany and in Germany if you download torrents you get a fine for around ~1000 EUR! While nordvpn.com allows you download torrents i switched to this provider. btw the speed from TPB is 60 Mbps..

As someone who didn’t know a thing about VPN, but needed it for the static IP, I found PureVPN to be fairly straightforward and easy to set up. I had some issues at first but this was my own ignorance, and the support people at Pure were really fast to respond and really patient with me. 5 stars, if this had stars :)

Similar to the situation reported from Dubai. I am using BeeVPN in Thailand. Normally I am getting 3MB download speed. As soon as I switch in Bee VPN it drops to 0.06MB which is useless for accessing sites such as BBC iplayer. At first they tried to help but their suggestions failed to improve anything. Now they do not respond to emails.

I have been using hma for a while but I switched to nordvpn. The main thing why I did this is that they accept torrents and I can easily download from the pirate bay and you cannot do that in other vpns. What’s more other websites uses some kind of low-end solutions which drops packets and the connection is unstable. These guys use Vyatta which is a very powerful tool for managing networking. I asked the guys about udp ports and they responded me quickly and in a very professional way, highly recommended service.
