If they can shut you off for any other reason than non-payment, or possibly being 'mean' in their forum then they log you as an individual. This means your information of where you signed in from and more than likely, what you did is saved for x amount of time and able to be released to Law Enforcement. Some company's that are super popular even have recent history providing information. If you are going to pay for any of the many vpn services, please read before you buy.
